Catfish and catfishing pictures.
This site is about catfishing on Wilson Lake in AL
and Pickwick Lake in MS and AL.
Since Sandra and I are now retired and living at Pickwick
we will be fishing for Crappie and Bream as well as catfish.
While crappie and bream are fun, nothing takes the place of
a big blue catfish on a rod bent double over the side of the boat.

We use shad and skipjack for bait catfishing.
We have pictures on this site of all different size catfish.
We fish from a Mako Bay Boat and also a small aluminum boat called an "Outfitter".
Sandra wife and Tracy daughter like catfishing. We rairly keep a catfish.
We prefer to buy the catfish we eat already cooked at a Catfish resturant.
Most of the catfish pictured here are caught tite line on a rod and reel.
Sandra and Tracy like to chase catfish on jugs - noodles.
I prefer to feel the catfish bite on the end of a tite line.
Most of the catfish are landed in 10 to 15 minutes.
Sandra recently caught a 25 lb. catfish on a light casting rod that took 25 minutes.
That catfish was a lot of fun. I made a video of that catfish so I could tell how long it took.
We fish a lot with light rod and reel with 20 lb test line.
This makes for a longer catfish fight and is a whole lot of fun.
We catfish in the spring to early summer.
We take a break from catfishing in the middle of the summer when it is so hot.
We start back catfishing after Labor day and catfish till the end of November.
Fall to winter catfishing is the best to me.
